Selçuk Aytimur

Selçuk Aytimur is a Senior IMS Lead Assessor, Management Consultant, and Trainer. Mr Aytimur is internationally known through his two books on quality management systems. He has contributed to the success of many institutions, especially in the Aegean region and in many Central Asian countries.

With a degree in Industrial Engineering he held positions such as business chief, production engineering chief, and quality assurance manager in the textile and the appliance industry.

In 1995, Mr Aytimur joined BUREAU VERITAS and served as the Aegean Regional Manager until 1999. During his time there, he oversaw industrial inspection and import/export quality surveillance activities. He provided technical assistance, consultancy, and training services to companies for the establishment of quality systems. In the same year, he became the lead auditor for the ISO 9001 quality management system.

Mr Aytimur has been involved in the field of quality management systems since 1990 when the TSE ISO 9001:1987 standard was introduced in Turkey. He worked as a trainer at the Turkish Quality Association from 1991 to 1996. During this time, he also played a significant role in establishing the Izmir KalDer branch. He was a part of the Turkey Quality Award Executive Board from 1992 to 1994 and contributed to the initiation of the Turkey Quality Award program. Throughout the program’s duration, from 1992 to 1996, he worked as a trainer and auditor.

Mr Aytimur has been providing training and consultancy services for over two decades for management system standards internationally across various sectors. He specializes in areas such as process management, process improvement, ISO 9001 quality management system, ISO 14001 environmental management system, ISO 45001 OHS management system, reorganization, and sustainability.

Currently, Selçuk Aytimur works as the lead auditor of integrated management systems (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 10002:2018) at BSI (outsourced) since 2002.
